The beaded snowflake will make an amazing tree ornament. You can also use it as a decorative coaster on your coffee table, or give as a gift.
Hang ornaments on your tree, in your windows, as borders around doorways, perhaps on a garland, over staircase banisters, or over the fireplace. If you use them, or any decor, around your fireplace, be sure to keep all flammable elements tacked down and away from any heat source or flame.
You can also use the snowflake design as a table cloth corner accent. Or string a few together to make a long door decoration.

Assembling Your Own Beaded Cross Stitch Kit
Many of these needlework projects will need to be put together by adding beads and/or thread to an existing cross stitch kit.
To widen our options for beaded cross stitch, I have pulled designs from Christmas cross stitch kits or books. I will show examples of how to use the beaded cross stitch techniques so you can create a unique work of art.
NOTE: You can add beads to finished Cross Stitch pictures by using a beading thread, but if you add the beads as you make the design, you would simply add them as you go with the floss from the kit.
If you purchase a standard cross stitch kit that does not include beads, you can still add beads to the design by simply buying the beads separately.
Example of How to Add Beads to a Cross Stitch Kit that Does NOT Come With Beads
Using the Santa kit featured in the introduction, I might add sparkle to his eyes by adding clear or white beads to the irises of his eyes on the existing white threads. Or, I might scatter beads in his hat. Of course, I might want to take the emphasis completely off of Santa. In that case, I would scatter green beads on the Christmas tree.
It simply depends on what area of the picture I wish to draw the viewers eye too. That is where I would add my embellishing beads. In the case of beading, less is more. You don’t want to overpower the picture with too much beading. It is added to emphasize and are, not dominate the picture.
Selecting the Correct Bead Size
This “Santa’s Secret” design is worked on 18 count Aida cloth and would most likely require size 15 seed beads. Beads do vary slightly in size even when they are packaged according to size, so you would need to lay the bead on the fabric to confirm it is the desired size. The proper match of fabric and bead would be a bead the same size as a single stitch. An over-sized bead will not be attractive on your finished picture. If the bead is too small, it will be lost in the overall pattern.

That Would Be Awesome Embellished With Beads
(Buy Beads Separately)
This kit would be fun and beautiful to embellish! Just like decorating our own Christmas tree.
I would definitely use white seed beads scattered on snow flakes around the Christmas tree. I would also add a few white beads on the tree itself and the center of the top star.
This would truly be a beautiful selection and Very Easy to Embellish with Beads.
This “White Christmas Tree” design is worked on 14 count Aida cloth and would most likely require size 11 seed beads.

How To Make Your Own Christmas Beaded Cross Stitch Kits
The size and color of the beads will completely depend on the cross stitch kit or pattern you have selected, as well as the area of the pattern that you have chosen to embellish.
If you are embellishing a finished cross stitch project, you will need to use the clear thread to add the beads. However, if you add beads while making the project originally, simply add the beads on the floss itself as you go.
